Metcalf’s ranch, northeast base of Mt. Eddy, elevation about
3800 feet, in open places in the forest. The original growth of yel-
low pine has been replaced by white fir, Douglas fir and incense
cedar. Shrubs are willow, Corylus and Ceanothus.
