strip of pine, oak and palmetto forest between US Hwy 98 and
road to Cross City Correctional Facility. 29° 37.466' N: 83°
6.35' W (coordinates from hand-held GPS; accurate to within a
radius of about 50 m)

Leaves basal, crowded on short, fleshy rhizomes growing in
deep, loose sand.
