Sclerophyll. Melaleuca. Scattered. On dead wood in sand.

Description
Mycorrhizal roots apparent in the dead wood at base of the stipe. Stipe with pale red fibrillose striate streaks, 7-15 cm long, 1.5-2 cm broad. Yellow flesh throughout and quickly cyanescent. Pileus with repent, areolate red scales, with some yellow flesh showing between. Some sterile marginal tissue also present. Olive brown hymenophore, cyanescent.
