  • Description

    Pileus 2.5-4.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, even, red (8D-E8,7) to light brown (7D5), tomentose to subtomentose, with even margin. Flesh yellow (3A5), unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, yellow (3A5), unchanging with pores likewise. Stipe 5-9 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, equal to barely subclavate to clavate, dry, pale yellow at extreme apex, otherwise deep red, densely subpruinose throughout length, sometimes obscurely ridged, white at base, with interior yellow (3A5), unchanging.
