  • Description

    Pileus 7 cm broad, plane, dry, subvelutinous, corrugate on disc, ±even toward margin, dark brown (6F8). Flesh white, 1 cm thick, changing to pink after exposure. Lamellae adnate with a decurrent tooth to subdecurrent, butter yellow (4A3), subdistant, 1 cm broad, with even edges, exuding copious white latex that changes to pink with time. Stipe 9 x 1 cm, ±equal to somewhat broader below, pinched at the base, dry, even, finely subvelutinous, concolorous with pileus, white at the base, with interior solid, white, changing as in pileus. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
