Vine in banana, coffee plantation. Corolla pale yellow. It is bitter and never eaten, but the cultivated auyamas (Cucurbita moschata) in the region never become bitter. Said to be so bitter that no animal will eat it, not even the pigs, burros, or rats. Some fruits said to be 20 cm. in diameter (but I doubt this). Seeds grayish. Coll.: M . Nee & J. C.
