Description
Pileus 5.5 cm broad, convex, finely squamose, repent on disc, suberect at margin, pale brown on disc violet brown (11D-E8,7) toward and at margin and on sterile marginal veil, with scales very fine on veil, with veil splitting into 3 pieces exposing bright yellow to olive yellow pores, with some pores assuming a dull brownish red tint. Stipe 12.5 cm long, 1.5 cm broad, equal to slightly broader below, pale violet brown, soon fading to clay color (5C4) in mid-portion and remaining violet brown below, white at base, fibrillose striate, with interior pale yellow in stipe, yellow in pileus, quickly cyanescent, but brownish orange in the extreme base, fibrous to pithy and brittle in the base.
