  • Description

    Apex of stipe has pale greenish (see REH9359, 24 May 2010), pale brown toward base, 8 x 2 cm (4 cm broad at base), clavate. Pileus is viscid when wet, 6 cm broad, dark brown. Tubes stain blue, then red, then black. Flesh white, changing to pale pinkish brown, barely cyanescent in stipe, then pinkish brown. Odor and taste mild. Hymenial cystidia with colloidal brown contents. Cyanogranules (-) in p-pellis; hyphae cylindrical, forming an erect trichodermium, with pigment dissolving in alkali, lacking encrusting pigment and any blue green colors. St-pellis with scattered caulocystidia; cyanogranules (-). Hymenial cystidia with colloidal brown contents. NB: probably not cyanogranulifera/similis.
