Description
Herb, the stems red, whole plant covered with clear mucilage; leaf adaxials green, the abaxials red. This species forming a nearly complete cover over entire lake of ca 2 hectares. The only areas free of Brasenia appear to be trails used by resident beavers. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
