  • Description

    Herb, erect, most plants under 25 cm tall, some slender and un-branched, others stouter and branched, the stems green; leaf blades green, without the yellowish/green (Rhamnus) color of Acalypha rhomboidea, minutely clear-punctate; staminate spikes reddish; ovulate bracts green. The plants here forming a fairly dense colony of dozens of individuals in a patch a meter or two in diam. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
