  • Description

    Pileus 9.5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, coarse erect scales on disc, repent toward margin, tan to pale brown, with red/pink between scales, some yellow showing between on disc, with triangular to irregular velar appendiculate fragments on margin. Flesh yellow, immediately cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, yellow, immediately cyanescent, with pale brownish to reddish brown pores, cyanescent. Stipe 12.5 cm x 1.5 cm broad, equal with slightly broader base, dry, red to pink zone at apex, pale glaucous to mid portion, whitish to pale tan toward base, white at base, staining orangish brown to brownish orange with in and without, with interior a pale glaucous at apex, otherwise whitish and staining orangish brown. Spores finely ribbed, without cross-striae.
