    Sclerophyll. Allocasuarina sp., Acacia sp., Eucalyptus sp. . On soil.

  • Description

    Pileus 3-4.5 cm broad, obtusely convex, dry, few repent large squamules, pale pinkish buff, otherwise white, staining orange. Flesh pale yellow, cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Veil adherent to pileus margin (just like ananas). Hymenophore bright yellow, cyanescent, adnexed. Stipe 11-13 cm long, 1 cm broad, equal with an enlarged base, dry, fibrillose striate, white, bruising pale orange within and without, white at base.

    The generally pallid colors, orange staining in the stipe, rather lack of squamules distinguish this taxon. It has shorter spores than B. ananas.
