United States of America. Alabama. DeKalb Co. At NW rim of Little River Canyon, ca. 1.3 miles from NE end of Little River Canyon Parkway, Lookout Mountain, SE of Fort Payne.

Habitat
On an open expanse of flat sandstone surounded by Pinus-Quercus-Carya woods. With Schoenolirion croceum. Abundant. In black, sandy soil (wet at this season).

Description
herb. Plants not in flower when collected; spathes tipped with pink or carmine. Plants kept in automobile until in flower; pressed 4 May 1955. Flowers white to pale pink, drying pink. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
