  • Description

    shrub-like tree. Shrub-like tree; stem solitary or few from the base, suberect, 8 inches thick, 20 feet high, crooked and subterete, branched all along from below the middle, the ultimate ones slender and widely spreading; wood soft, pale white, light, odorless and tasteless; bark smooth, mottled, yellowish-white, except the epidermis; twigs green, suberect, breaking with a snap; foliage mostly horizontal, curved upon the upper slightly greener surface, thinly coriaceous; flowering spikes horizontal or subpendent, green, fruiting ones pendent, the carpels drak green; the supersistent seeds citrinus. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
