Successional Northern Sandplain Grassland. with Juniperus virginiana, Solidago sp., Andropogon virginicus, and Potentilla sp. Infrequent.

Description
Shrub. Multi-stemmed shrub to 4.5 meters tall. Anthers with pollen bright yellow. Of the two Salix present in the meadow, this one is to the west. Xylocopa virginica was visiting flowers.
