Field Char: Shrub 3-4 m high, leaning on
Piper? leaves coriaceous, drk dull green
above, rugose, below yellow-green with
protruding veins, light brown hairs
concentrated along veins.
Notes: Flowers yellow-brown, style and
stigma green, strong fragrance. Bottled
flowers at BISH.
Locality: Morobe Province: near Labu,
flood plain of the Markham river.
Habitat: Lowland rainforest, sharply
rising hillside above Uncaria 4599.
