kioahuluensis (St. John) Marr*
Upright shrub mostly branching from the base, 1 m tall.
Leaves light green, above, lighter below, secondary veins
pellucid in some, tertiary veins usually obscured by thick
cuticle. Calyx lobes occasionally red at base, otherwise green.
Island of Maui (Wast), Iao Valley, Nakalaloa Stream, near
back of Valley. Growing along streamsides with with
Metrosideros. Bidens, Hedvotis. Cyrtandra, Pipturu&f
Artemisia. Pritchardia. Hedvotis. Coprosma. Clermontia.
