Alt. 500-700m (1650-2300’) <S) Mesic open Betula pendula—Populus tremula—Pinus sibirica—P. sylvestris forest (rarely burned and grazed) with boreal forest (N-slope) and montane meadow (S-slope) vegetation. Assoc, spp.: Crepis hastata, Aconiturn septentrionale (A. excelsum), A. barbatum, Anemone narcissiflora, Dianthus superbus, Saussurea parviflora, Ledum palustre, Vaccinium vitis-idea, Zigadenus sibiricus. Top of ridge E of lookout.
