Flora of Montauk Suffolk Co., New York GERANIACEAE Geranium sibiricum L. United States of America. New York: Suffolk County. East Hampton Township, hamlet of Montauk. Private residence, escapee. (4i.056542°N, 071.874364oW). Perennial herb; petals dark pink-purple, glabrous, margins ciliate; anthers purple; sepals with l mm long apical appendage; pedicel hairs retrorsely appressed; roots fleshy nearly tuberous, white. In association with Eurybia divaricata, Plantago media, Trifolium repens, Taraxacum sp., Cyperus esculentus, Galium sp., Viola sp., Artemisia vulgaris and exotic turfgrass species. *Note- homeowner and gardener reported -20 years ago she Wanted a few purchased plants on a shady driveway embankment.
