SE1/4 of NW1/4 SW1/4 Sect. 25 Ware, Illinois Route
3 (FAP 312), west side, south of truck weigh station,
0.3-0.4 mile south of junction with Illinois Route 146.
Mississippi River floodplain. Ware 7.5 minute U.S.G.S.
quadrangle. Elevation 340-350 feet. Alluvial soil, silt
and sand, disturbed.
Maintained lawns at weigh station, not mowed yet this
year; weedy annuals common, including: Veronica
arvensis, Arenaria serpyllifolia, Cerastium pumilum,
Sibara virginica, Poa annua, Galium pedemontanum,
Geranium dissectum. Bordering floodplain forest on
elevated slope at north margin of cypress swamp.
Common erect annual herb; flowers green, pendulous
(under leaves).
