Description
Caulirosuletum, eaching heights of over 5 m., this specimen ca. 2 m., fire damage on trunks. Inflorescence all yellow, disks browning with age. Some individuals (especially very vigorous ones with an environmanetal advantage, and predominnatly golden colored ones, e.g. No. 234) have two sterile bracts on the peduncle. Others, apparently of the same species, do not. Common name: frailejón. Appears more silvery tha No. 234 from a distance. Often in groups. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
