Shrub, 2 m. Lvs deep green above, paler below,
veins red. Pubescence on young growth red, be-
coming gray-brown with age. Hypanthium red.
Corolla white, petals reflexed. Filaments pink,
anthers yellow. Petioles on main stems (and
older branches) bent downward. 8500-95>00 ft.
