Description
Small tree or shrub, rarely over 6 feet high; stem or trunk striaght, about 1 inch diameter; bark gray-green, smooth; leaves alternate, large, glossy green, upper and lower surface smooth, succulent, 10-14 nerved; petiole small, stiff, 2-6 inches long; pistillate inflorescence terminal, erect, axillary; staminate from axils of leaves 2-3 feet long hangs downward.
