West side of Illinois Route 2, starting 4 meters (13 feet)
west of pavement and approximately 128 meters (420
feet) north of Cultra Road. Elevation approximately
210-216 meters (689-708 feet). In wet peaty soil.
‘Hanging fen’ wetland, with Viburnum opulus, Iris sp.,
Comus racemosa, Pilea fontana. Flowers white;
leaves glaucous beneath; occasional scattered perennial
herb 1 meter tall.
