Elev. 7750 ft.
In marly limestone soil on gentle N-facing slope with Pinus.
Purshia & Ribes. Perennials with branched caudices; leaves
punctate, to 5 mm wide, sparsely appressed pilose; hairs of the
scapes to 1 mm long; inner involucral bracts oblong with scarious
margins; ligules of ray florets yellow; pappus of ovate-lanceolate
scales, these truncate or tapered apically, with or without an awn.
