Cultivated culinary “sage” in flower garden. Forming a
dense, perennial mass, appearing herbaceous but stems
woody at base and lasting a few years, to 0.8 cm. in
diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Plant
typically aromatic, both fresh and dried. Calyx purplish;
corolla violet-blue.
