Young, wet woods with Alnus, Betula and Amelanchier.

Description
Small tree 2 m tall, the trunk 2.5 cm diam; bark greenish brown with prominent lenticels; scales at base of ovary black. Same plant collected on 8 Aug 2014 (Atha 14799). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
