open woods of pine and douglas fir.

Extremely abundant in open, rocky clearings
on SW slope. This species grows up to
9600 ft on Heliograph Peak.

8900 ft;

No fruits yet completely mature. Buds
nodding on short peduncles. No Erigeron
neomexicanus in this whole area.
