Dixie National Forest: Red Creek Canyon; densely scrubby pinyon-juniper woodland on moderate west- and south-facing slopes; rocky soil on west-facing side; light ashy-gray, sandy soil on south-facing side.

T34S R07W Section 06 W1/2 of E/4. 37°52'45"n 112°41'00"W (determined from topo map). Elevation 2350 m. Densely scrubby pinyon-juniper woodland on moderate W- and S- facing slopes. Cercocarpus ledifolius, C. montanus, Peraphyllum, Quercjjs gambelii, grasses and forbs in understorey. Rocky soil on W-facing side; light ashy-gray, sandy soil on S-facing side. Common.
