Non-flooded moist forest, ca. 50-125 m elev.
Tree 15 m tall, 36.2 cm dbh. Cylindrical bole.
Not buttressed. Outer bark brownish-black,
grid-cracked, hard; inner bark soft,
brownish-orange. Total thickness of bark 7.7
mm. Sapwood pale yellow. Exudate a
free-flowing, white sticky latex. Flowers
yellow-green in bud, corolla yellow when
expanded. Twigs blackish. Photos.
