  • Habitat

    Railroad right-of-way at edge of dwarf red maple swamp forest and marsh.

  • Description

    Herb, the rhizomes orange. Plants forming a dense, pure stand ca 20 m long and a few meters wide, but apparently not spreading beyond. The sympatric Typha latifolia appears to be more aggressive and is widespread and spreading here. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
