    Flat plain with serras (mesas) and intersected with streams. Open cerrado vegetation, sandy soil, high insolation. Occasional small trees. Grasses and sedges dominate. Occasional wet seeps.

    Woody herb of 1-1.5m.; bracts of infl. rose at tip, green at base; fls. white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
