    Small sloping area of ultramafic soil/scree, grass dominated, above a field where unsuccessful attempt had been made to grow soybeans. Campo. South facing slope. Laterite, ultramafic with dunite.

    Woody-based herb; young leaves pigmented red at edge. Flowers 10-12 mm diam., length 20 mm; stigma exserted ca 3 mm. Sepals free. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
