    Type. Colombia, Vaupes, cerro de Chiribiquete, Schultes 5617 (holotype COL, isotype US, fragment K).

    The spur on the type specimen of this species is about 1½ times as long as the lower lip of the corolla but in the specimens cited it is sometimes no more than half as long. The last cited specimen has the corolla about 1½ times as large as that of the type.
