Species Description - Shrub to 2.5 m. tall, petals pale pink, stamens purple, fruit blue.

Discussion:

Two other species of Miconia were collected, one from low altitudes on Cerro Marahuaca, Maguire & Maguire 29180, the other from Cerro Sipapo, altitude 1350 m., Maguire & Politi 28511; both exhibit immature flowers only.
