Eschweilera lurida Miers
Description:
Taxonomic notes: The protologue is based on a single collection consisting of leaves, an old inflorescence, and immature fruit. It is not possible to determine if the fruits are indehiscent or dehiscent based on the fruit. Plate 60, fig. 23 provides an illustration of the fruit. Miers states that this species in near to E. nana, but based on recent molecular and morphology study, E. lurida is more correctly placed in Lecythis and has little in common with E. nana.
