Description:

Description: Epiphytic shrubs, sometimes growing over rock; stems terete to subterete, sometimes slightly flexuous, sometimes ribbed, glabrous; twigs subterete, complanate, striate, sometimes inconspicuously flexuous, densely short-pilose to villous with hairs eglandular 0.5-1 mm long, becoming glabrescent. Leaves thick-succulent and concave when fresh that somewhat hide the flowers, the surfaces drying smooth to wrinkled, ovate, (2-)2.3-4 x (1.2-)1.5-2.4 cm, base rounded and shallowly cordate, apex gradually to abruptly acuminate, the acumen ca. 5-8 mm long and obtusely callose apiculate, margin thickened and narrowly revolute when fresh but drying thin and sometimes strongly revolute, lamina inconspicuously pilulose with eglandular hairs ca. 0.5 mm long on both sides, glabrate, glandular hairs also present beneath; 5(-7)-plinerved from base, midrib and lateral nerves raised on both surfaces when fresh, the midrib often strongly carinate or impressed above when dry, the lateral nerves usually totally obscure when dry, tertiary veinlets raised but obscure when fresh, obscure when dry; petiole subterete, 0.5-1 mm long, short-pilose, glabrate. Inflorescences axillary, flowers solitary or in fascicles of 2, shorter than and somewhat hidden by the subtending leaves; floral bract 1, lanceolate, 0.7-1 mm long, sparsely short-pilose; pedicel terete, 7-10 mm long, moderately short-pilose with eglandular hairs 0.2-0.4 mm long; bracteoles 2, basal, opposite, linear, ca. 0.6-0.7 mm long, sparsely short-pilose. Flowers 5-merous, diplostemonous; calyx 4-5 mm long, short-pilose to villous with eglandular hairs; tube turbinate, 2.5-3 mm long; limb campanulate, erect-spreading, ca. 1.6-2 mm long; lobes broadly deltate, acute to short-acuminate, 0.6-1 mm long; sinuses rounded; corolla carnose, urceolate, ca. 6 mm long and 4.5 mm diam., pale yellowish-green, glabrous or often puberulent without with eglandular hairs between lobes, the lobes spreading, deltate, acute, ca. 0.7 mm long; stamens 10, alternately slightly unequal in length, ca. 4.3-4.8 mm long; filaments alternately slightly unequal in length, ca. 1-1.5 mm long, densely villous distally with hairs ca. 0.5 mm long; anthers 3.5-4 mm long; thecae ca. 1.5 mm long, the base straight, without basal appendage; tubules narrower than thecae, ca. 2 mm long, dehiscing by oval clefts ca. 0.5 mm long; style equaling corolla in length. Berry spherical, ca. 9 mm diam., mature color unknown, glabrate; embryo color unknown.
