Brazil. Bahia. Between 10 and 15km north of Mucuge on road to Andaraí. Alt. 1100 m. (3609 ft.)

Description:

Subshrub to 1m. Leaves coriaceous, glossy green above, grey green beneath. Corolla white. Berry black. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
Habitat:

Sandstone hillside with shallow soils and large bluffs of exposed rock. In some areas with wet sand and shallow pools or wet rocks.
