Description:

Pileus 4.5-8 cm broad, dry to moist, matted subtomentose to matted subvelutinous, mahogany brown (8F7) with a barely visible whitish plush, with margin sterile and projecting about 1 mm. Flesh white with a pale pink tint under pellis, with mild odor and taste. Tubes and pores yellow, unchanging, adnexed. Stipe 5-6 cm long, 1.5-3 cm broad, equal to tapering downward, dry, slightly ridgged with a very pale pruina, beige to clay color (5C-D5,4), with white interior (yellow in the base with age) and white basal mycelium.

Montane cloud forest. Quercus seemannii. Scattered. On soil.
