Description:

Pileus 4 cm broad, convex, dry, subtomentose, finely areolate cracked, light brown. Flesh pale yellow, bluing erratically on exposure, 8 mm thick, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate to adnexed, 1 cm long, greenish yellow, bluing when exposed, with pores concolorous, bluing when bruised, 1-2 mm broad, often elongate. Stipe 4.5 cm x 7 mm, curved and equal, dry, pale red with a fine pruina, with yellow mycelium at base, with red, solid interior, staining blue in apex.
Habitat:

Montane cloud forest. Quercus costaricensis, Q. copeyensis. Solitary. On wood.
