Description:

Pileus 37-47 (-66) mm, convex becoming nearly plane, densely matted subtomentose, white becoming light golden brown (5B4-5C4); margin incurved becoming decurved to irregularly uplifted. Context white, unchanging; odor and taste mild. Pores round to elongated, 1-2 per mm, white becoming cream-colored then light brown with a pale pinkish cast; stainign darker brown. Stipe 32-45 x 8-14 mm, equal to slightly tapered toward base, solid; white with chocolate brown minute pubescence aggregated into scabers reminiscent of Sutorius eximius. Scabers most dense over apical half. Basal mycelium white. NH4 (-) on all tissues.
