Description:

Pileus (16-) 38-52 mm, convex, densely matted subtomentose, orange (6B7). Context white; odor and taste mild. Pores round to elongated, (0.5-)1-2 mm in diameter, yellowish white (~3A2), staining brown. Pores somewhat elongated and angular, but having only one pore layer, in contrast to a similarly colored variant encountered in northern Queensland. Stipe (15-) 26-31 x (3.5-) 8-9 mm, solid, equal, bright yellow-orange (4A7), minutely pruinose (brown; denser over apical portion).
Habitat:

Acacia and occasional Eucalyptus. Solitary.
