Description:

Pileus 2-4 cm broad, convex, dry, matted felty areolate, yellowish brown. Flesh white, immediately and deeply blue. Tubes adnexed, whitish at first then pale yellow, not cyanescent, with pores concolorous, deep blue when bruised. Stipe 2.5-3 cm long, 7-10 mm broad, subclavate to equal, dry, minutely subpruinose to minutely felty above annular zone and pale yellow, brownish yellow below annular zone and tomentose, with interior immediately deep blue.
