Description:

Pileus 4-8.5 cm broad, convex to plane, dry, tomentose to squamulose scaly, yellow brown (5C-D6,5), with slight projecting sterile margin when young. Flesh white, slowly and slightly cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Tubes shallow, very pale yellowish white, not cyanescent, with pores pale yellowish white, becoming pale yellow, cyanescent. Stipe 3-4 cm long, 13-17 mm broad, subequal to subclavate and pinched at the base, finely tomentose above velar zone, matted tomentose below, pale yellow overall, slowly cyanescent then becoming brown, with interior white, cyanescent, becoming chambered to hollow.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus pilularis, E. racemosa, Leptospermum, Allocasuarina. Gregarious. On sand.
