Description:

Pileus 4-5 cm broad, plano-convex to plane, dry, felty tomentose, areolate toward margin, tan to pale brown, not changing when bruised. Flesh white, changing immediately to blue, with mild odor and taste. Hymenophore adnexed, white, soon yellow, with tubes not staining but pores immediately bluing, with tubes and pores very fine. Stipe 3-4 cm long, 10-18 mm broad, broader downward then tapering at base, white at first then pale brownish yellow, dry, matted pubescent, with an obscure annular zone near base, white at base, immediately changing to blue when bruised, with interior pithy becoming hollow, with tough outer rind.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Acacia, Allocasuarina, Eucalyptus. Gregarious. On soil.
